Barefoot Interview #19: USA's BarefootGirlyGirl

There are many different people from all over the world who like going barefoot. Some people like doing it as a hobby. On the other hand, other people who go barefoot as a tradition or as a part of their culture. Apparently, there are many who like going barefoot are unable to share their stories. So, this will be a long interviewing series and talking to people who are from all over and let them speak about their barefooting. So, welcome the newest barefoot interviewee, Barefootgirlygirl. She is (currently) a 16 year old 10th grade high school student; she was born in Chicago, Illinois and resides in Jupier, Florida. Here is what Barefootgirlygirl had to say about being barefoot.

What inspired you to go barefoot?
Well, I've always been a barefoot/flip flops type of girl but one summer at a concert my flip flop broke so I spent the rest of the concert barefoot. I loved the feel, the looks and even the freedom.

What are some of the reasons you like going barefoot?
Well, I have really cute feet so its a shame to hide them. It's supposedly healthy, and there is nothing like walking in the rain, or mud or grass and the feeling on your soles and between your toes.

Name some places you like going barefoot.
Pretty much anywhere I'm allowed. I walk through the woods, the beach and even grass. I don't do it to gross anyone out, so when people aren't eating, I don't expect them to be looking at my feet if they are dirty.

Where would you like to try and go barefoot that you haven't done so?
I really want to try golfing barefoot but I'm not a good golfer to begin with so I don't know if I would embarrass myself twice.

Why do you think people should go barefoot more often besides at home and the beach?
Don't get me wrong, I've been barefoot and stepped on a rock and it floored me. It don't have these tough hardcore barefooter feet. I get pedicures Biweekly (every 2 weeks) and I just encourage people to feel the earth beneath your feet.

Give us a story of a time you went barefoot and had a lot of fun doing it.
Well the concert was a lot of fun. Another time was when I went camping with my uncles and didn't wear shoes for 5 days. I was hiking, canoeing, playing corn hole and that's where I got my nickname "barefoot girlygirl".

Why do you think some stores have banned going barefoot?
Probably legal reasons.

If possible, please share any of your barefooting experiences.
There are so many; the first time I went barefoot to a concert. I was going through airport security one time and I was taking my flip flops off and walking barefoot for the rest of the time while waiting for my plane. Some people looked shocked; some looked intrigued and even some of the guys were actualy turned on.

Since going barefoot is healthy, why do you think people deny it?
Maybe they have hideous feet and if thats the case, then keep them locked up.

Finish this analogy: Someone who does not want to go barefoot is like...
Someone that doesnt have the desire to forget about the world and feel the earth through the soles of your feet.

What would you say to someone who thinking going barefoot is gross?
Then keep your shoes on.

Conclusion.
I do thank Barefootgirlygirl for taking the time and answering these questions and as well as supporting that going barefoot is actually a good and healthy thing. Tune in next time when someone else in another country talks about their likes on barefooting. Remember, speak your mind and comment down below.
